Kuaishou's Keling AI Secures 1.42B Yuan Strategic Investment at $18 billion Valuation

Kuaishou-W announced on August 31 via the Hong Kong Stock Exchange that its subsidiary Beijing Keling has successfully brought in two strategic investors. The National Artificial Intelligence Industry Investment Fund Partnership (Limited Partnership) and Charoen Pokphand Robot Limited each signed agreements with Beijing Keling, injecting cash capital of 1.4 billion yuan and $19.29 million (approximately 131 million yuan) respectively.

Upon completion of this funding round, Keling AI's post-investment valuation reached $18 billion, with the total financing size at $3 billion. Kuaishou holds 68% of Beijing Keling's equity, which translates to an attributable value of $12 billion contributed to Kuaishou by Keling AI. As of June 2026, Kuaishou's total net cash stood at $13 billion, bringing the floor asset valuation to $25 billion. On the same day, Kuaishou's share price closed at HK$33.10, with a total market capitalization of $18.253 billion, representing a discount of approximately 25% to that valuation.

China's long-form video industry has made progress in AI applications, with Mango TV launching a 30-episode AI-generated series titled "Journey to the West: The Later Chapters," pioneering a new model of "production, regulatory review, and simultaneous broadcast." Kuaishou's newly released online game "Lord of the Mysteries" has also gone live.
