Lakala H1 2026 Revenue RMB3.26 Billion, Net Profit RMB669 Million on BlueFocus Stake Sale
Lakala Payment Co. , Ltd. posted H1 2026 revenue of RMB 3.257 billion, up 22.86% year on year, with net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 669 million, up 191.67%. The January sale of its BlueFocus stake contributed RMB 463 million, or 69.16% of net profit. Q2 net profit fell 87.53% from Q1 and 42% year on year, while non-GAAP net profit rose 118% year on year.
Lakala Payment Co. , Ltd.' s 2026 semi-annual report shows that in H1 2026 the company achieved revenue of RMB 3.257 billion, up 22.86% year on year; net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 669 million, up 191.67% year on year; and net profit attributable to shareholders excluding non-recurring items of RMB 219 million, up 50.28% year on year. The company said the growth in net profit attributable to shareholders was mainly due to improved profitability of its core business and a significant increase in investment income from the sale of listed company shares held, compared with the same period in 2025.
In January 2026, Lakala sold its BlueFocus shares in the secondary market at a transaction price of RMB 1.707 billion. From the beginning of 2026 to the share sale date, the stake contributed RMB 463 million in net profit to Lakala, representing 69.16% of total net profit. In H1 2026, Lakala recognized investment income of RMB 610 million, accounting for 72.69% of total profit, mainly due to the disposal of listed company equity held during the period. In 2021, Lakala acquired 144 million BlueFocus A-shares listed on the stock exchange at RMB 6.35 per share, for a total consideration of RMB 914 million. In November 2025, Lakala announced that, in order to optimize its asset structure and improve asset operating efficiency, it would sell its listed stock assets under long-term equity investments at an appropriate time. Between December 2025 and January 2026, BlueFocus shares rose from about RMB 8.5 per share to a peak of RMB 24.42 per share. As of the close on August 12, 2026, BlueFocus traded at RMB 15.89 per share, up 1.86% for the day.
In Q1 2026, the company fully sold all of its BlueFocus shares, recognizing investment income of RMB 551 million and total recognized gains of RMB 1.526 billion.
In core operations, H1 2026 digital payment revenue was RMB 2.843 billion, up 20.32% year on year, mainly driven by growth in active merchants served and higher payment transaction value. Technology services revenue was RMB 213 million, up 51.32% year on year, mainly reflecting the contribution of Tiancai Shanglong, a majority-owned subsidiary, to technology revenue growth. By quarter, Q1 2026 net profit attributable to shareholders was RMB 595 million, with non-GAAP net profit of RMB 85.89 million. In Q2 2026, net profit attributable to shareholders was RMB 74.1972 million, down 87.53% quarter on quarter and down about 42% year on year; non-GAAP net profit was RMB 133 million, up about 54.65% quarter on quarter and up about 118% year on year.
Earlier, an investor on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange interactive platform questioned whether Lakala's profit of RMB 1.5 billion in 2025 came mainly from stock trading, with limited core business earnings. Lakala responded that it adheres to its strategic positioning as a "merchant digital operations service provider," promotes an "AI First" approach, and is improving its digital service system for full merchant lifecycle operations. It is also following trends in cross-border payment transformation and digital currency innovation while accelerating its global business expansion. The company said that ample available funds are a valuable resource for accelerating both organic and external growth.
