Lalamove Discloses Algorithm Rules for Curbing User Dishonesty

Published: Updated: By 24TopNews Editorial Desk

Lalamove on September 17, 2026 published the algorithm rules it uses to govern dishonest user behavior, covering freight arrears, fake orders and false complaints. The platform said orders unpaid for more than 48 hours fell 16% in August 2026 from January 2026. It has handled 46,347 rule-breaking users so far in 2026, while driver-reported fake orders dropped 70% from the same period of 2025.

On September 17, 2026, Lalamove disclosed the algorithm rules it uses to regulate dishonest user behavior on its platform, covering three areas: freight arrears, fake orders and false complaints. Lalamove has built a freight-arrears governance system around source control, recovery during the process and post-event safeguards, including real-name user registration, a four-tier collection mechanism and a freight advance-payment mechanism. Data show that in August 2026, the share of Lalamove orders unpaid for more than 48 hours fell 16% compared with January 2026.

In tackling freight arrears, the platform fully implements real-name user registration at the source to ensure that freight payments can be traced and recovered under a real identity. During the process, it has established a four-tier collection mechanism: drivers collecting fees themselves, AI voice collection, dedicated staff making collection calls, and assistance through legal means such as lawyer's letters. As a safeguard, it has launched a freight advance-payment mechanism that advances payment for eligible overdue orders. For users who frequently delay freight payments, the platform uses historical behavioral data to predict risk, intervenes early on high-risk orders, and applies list management and tiered controls to untrustworthy users, barring them from placing cash-on-delivery orders. Wang Xiaolan, head of Lalamove's driver experience department, said the platform will continue to advance freight-arrears governance.

In combating fake orders, Lalamove uses AI and algorithms to continuously monitor order data flows, comprehensively identifying orders from two dimensions: order content and user behavior, including analysis of users' order frequency and devices used. High-risk fake orders that are identified are intercepted directly, while abnormal cases that are difficult to determine are automatically routed to manual review. Different risk levels trigger corresponding measures, including verification codes, real-time order interception, temporary account bans and permanent bans. Since the start of 2026, Lalamove has handled a total of 46,347 rule-breaking users, and the number of fake orders reported by drivers fell 70% from the same period of 2025.

In governing false complaints, Lalamove has established a complaint authenticity verification mechanism that comprehensively analyzes data such as the timing of each complaint, the driver's actual behavior on the order, and the consistency between the trip trajectory and the complaint description, with suspected false complaints subject to manual review to avoid misjudgment. For order anomalies caused by reasons other than the driver's own actions, such as acts of courage, liability is waived after verification. A Lalamove driver surnamed Lin in Shenzhen transported a batch of goods from Dongguan to Foshan. After the order was completed, the user did not pay more than 400 yuan in freight. After repeated contact, the user responded that "the boss is not in, I will pay later." The platform later informed him that it had sought payment multiple times, and the user paid online that day.
