Lenovo is preparing to launch its new IdeaPad Vibe laptop, which will be offered in 14-inch and 15-inch screen sizes with seven color options. According to leaked specification sheets, the disclosed version is powered by AMD processors, including Ryzen AI 400 series or Ryzen AI 300 series chips with a power draw of up to 30W. The Ryzen AI 400 series is based on AMD's Gorgon Point architecture, with NPU performance of up to 50 TOPS. The series will later also include versions powered by Snapdragon processors.
In terms of memory and storage, the IdeaPad Vibe starts with 8GB of single-channel LPDDR5X memory, with options up to 32GB of dual-channel memory and a 1TB PCIe Gen4 solid-state drive. Only configurations with 16GB or more of memory meet the definition of a Copilot+ PC. On the design front, the machine is offered in two standard colors, low-key gray and mood blue, plus five fashion colors: cool blue, zen green, spicy gold, radiant coral, and dream purple.
Screen options include IPS or OLED panels with 60Hz or 120Hz refresh rates, and touch or non-touch variants. The 15-inch model can be configured with a touch-enabled 120Hz WUXGA IPS panel, while the OLED version offers 100% DCI-P3 color coverage and True Black certification. The chassis weighs from approximately 1.3 kilograms, measures 16.9 millimeters at its thinnest point, and the display opens to 180 degrees.
For connectivity, the entry configuration provides two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports with display and power delivery support, one HDMI 1.4 port, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The camera options include a 5-megapixel RGB camera with a privacy shutter or a full-HD infrared camera. Battery options are 65Wh and 50Wh, with fast-charging support that delivers two hours of use from a 15-minute charge.
To keep the entry price low, several configurations have been adjusted: the base model uses 8GB of single-channel memory, keyboard backlighting is optional, the basic IPS screen covers 45% of the NTSC color gamut, most large-capacity storage uses QLC flash memory, wireless connectivity tops out at Wi-Fi 6, and a trial version of McAfee antivirus software is preinstalled. Final pricing for the IdeaPad Vibe has not yet been announced.
