A high-end Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro X laptop, equipped with an AMD Ryzen processor and an Nvidia RTX discrete graphics card, developed a fault where the screen would not light up. The owner contacted Lenovo's official after-sales service, which offered only one solution: replacing the entire motherboard, at a cost exceeding $800 (approximately £600).
