Li Auto announced on Aug 26 that the new Li MEGA launch event is scheduled for Sept 2 at 7:30 pm, with the company describing the vehicle as a "mobile home." The new model retains the current design language, featuring a streamlined body to reduce wind resistance and extend range, while incorporating several upgrades and refinements.
Details have been adjusted, including closed-style white wheels that stand out as a distinctive feature. The vehicle replaces ultrasonic sensors with UWB technology, achieving a seamless exterior with no visible openings for a cleaner look. High-precision solid-state lidar is mounted below the side cameras and on the tailgate to enhance perception capabilities. The door handles have been changed to a semi-recessed design, integrating both mechanical and electronic unlocking functions.
The vehicle will also offer a Home version, whose second-row seats support 45-degree welcome, 90-degree viewing, and 180-degree face-to-face configurations, paired with a detachable small table to expand usage scenarios.
