Ligent Technologies Clears HKEX Hearing, Plans $624 Million IPO

Ligent Technologies, a mainland Chinese optical communications and connectivity products supplier, has passed the Hong Kong Stock Exchange listing hearing and begun pre-marketing for an initial public offering. The company aims to raise approximately US$800 million (HK$6.24 billion). China's securities regulator has approved the plan, allowing the issuance of up to 310 million overseas-listed ordinary shares. Citigroup and CITIC Securities are the sponsors.

Ligent Technologies, a mainland Chinese supplier of optical communications and connectivity products, has cleared the listing hearing of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and has commenced pre-marketing activities. The company plans to raise approximately US$800 million (HK$6.24 billion) from the offering.

Earlier, the China Securities Regulatory Commission approved the company's Hong Kong listing plan. According to the filing notice issued by the regulator, Ligent intends to issue no more than 310 million overseas-listed ordinary shares and list them in Hong Kong.

Citigroup and CITIC Securities are acting as sponsors for the deal.
