Logitech Shipping Error Sends Unreleased X3 Superstrike Gaming Mouse to Buyers

A logistics and shipping error on Logitech's official channel led several consumers who had ordered the current X2 Superstrike mouse to find, upon opening their packages, entirely new unreleased hardware printed with the words X3 Superstrike. The buyers had originally ordered a mouse product currently on sale from Logitech, but noticed anomalies in the packaging printing and the product mold after receiving the goods.

The prematurely shipped X3 Superstrike shows clear differences from the current model in exterior design, ergonomic curvature, and base shell details. Some buyers who obtained the physical units said after testing that the mouse adopts a new lightweight structural approach and features subtle adjustments to scroll wheel feel, foot pad layout, and side button tactility, while the internal sensor configuration and firmware version markings also differ from the current model. Affected buyers also said that when the hardware is connected to Logitech's official driver software, it can already be recognized in a basic working mode, but some advanced customization features still show as not yet adapted. Typically, hardware manufacturers maintain confidentiality and supply chain control over unreleased devices until after an official launch event, when they lift restrictions across channels and begin distribution. In this case, a product that had not been officially announced was packaged as a mature order and shipped to ordinary consumers.
