Chinese copper foil manufacturer Longdian Huaxin New Energy Technology Group announced on August 3 that it will pursue an initial public offering in the United States, targeting a valuation of up to $1.7 billion. The listing would be the largest by a Chinese company in New York in more than a year. The Shenzhen-headquartered company plans to issue approximately 3.6 million American depositary shares (ADS) at an indicative price range of $20 to $22 per share, raising up to about $78.6 million.

The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) approved on December 12, 2025, Longdian Huaxin's plan to issue no more than 141,589,386 ordinary shares, with a listing on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange or the New York Stock Exchange. The approval is one of the few granted by the CSRC for US listings over the past year.

The offering comes against a backdrop of heightened US-China geopolitical tensions, which have markedly reduced the number of Chinese companies listing in the United States in the past year. Beijing has in recent years pushed more domestic industry leaders to list in nearby markets while tightening oversight of companies seeking overseas listings.
