Chinese solar company LONGi Green Energy released its 2026 interim report on August 30. In the first half, the company achieved operating revenue of RMB27.045 billion, down 17.58% year on year. The net loss attributable to shareholders of the listed company was RMB3.684 billion, compared with a loss of RMB2.569 billion in the same period of 2025, representing a 43.4% year-on-year expansion of the loss. Basic earnings per share were -RMB0.49.

By quarter, the net loss was RMB1.92 billion in the first quarter and RMB1.764 billion in the second quarter, within the company's previously guided second-quarter net loss range of RMB1.48 billion to RMB1.88 billion.

During the reporting period, the photovoltaic industry continued to see price declines, compounded by structural overcapacity, putting pressure on the company's profitability. The company's performance was affected by multiple factors, including insufficient capacity utilization due to supply-demand imbalance in the industry, persistently low gross margins on products, losses on some centralized order deliveries caused by high silver prices in the first quarter, investment losses from associates, and exchange losses from the appreciation of the renminbi.
