Manus Plans USD 500 Million Raise at USD 4 Billion Valuation
Manus, the China-founded, Singapore-based AI agent developer, plans to complete a USD 500 million funding round in September 2026 at a USD 4 billion valuation, double its previous valuation. The identity of the new investors remains unclear. Existing backers include Tencent Holdings, HSG and ZhenFund. Meta agreed in December 2025 to acquire Manus for more than USD 2 billion, but Chinese authorities blocked the deal in April 2026.

In June 2026, Meta and Manus completed an operational separation and stopped sharing data between the two companies. In July 2026, Tencent planned to join most of Manus's existing investors, including ZhenFund and HSG, in buying Manus back from Meta for no less than USD 2 billion. On September 1, 2026, Manus announced the resumption of independent operations, with the original founding team of Xiao Hong, Zhang Tao and Ji Yichao continuing to lead the company.
