The 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) is being held in Beijing. On September 12, McDonald's China held a special release event at the CIFTIS results presentation site titled "Offline Consumption Innovation and the Interim Results of the 'Gather Offline, Enjoy the Good Life' Initiative," focusing on consumption stimulation and scenario innovation and releasing five offline consumption case studies.

As interim results of the joint initiative, the five cases presented cover weekend consumption, technology empowerment, green consumption, cultural communication and community renewal. The five cases are: the "Mai Mai Weekend" offline business platform; low-altitude economy empowerment of restaurant service scenarios; 5,000 green restaurants promoting sustainable consumption; the "Central Axis Light and Shadow, I'm Lovin' It" themed film exhibition; and the "Mai Mai Themed Community" exploring the integration of community renewal and consumption.

Gu Lei, Chief Impact Officer of McDonald's China, shared the cases at the release event. McDonald's China currently has more than 8,000 restaurants, covering all administrative regions of mainland China, and serves more than 1.4 billion consumer visits annually. In addition, the Beijing Shougang Park restaurant, as the world's first "zero-carbon restaurant" to receive both LEED zero-carbon and zero-energy certifications, will continue to invite consumers to experience a green, low-carbon lifestyle during CIFTIS. McDonald's pop-up stores and coffee trucks are also providing food and beverage services at the CIFTIS site.
