Meituan CEO Says Keeta Turns Profitable in Saudi Arabia After 22 Months
Meituan CEO Wang Xing said Keeta, the company's international food delivery platform, achieved profitability in Saudi Arabia in July 2026, 22 months after its pilot launch in September 2024. In the second half of 2026, Keeta will focus on improving operations in existing markets, while Wang expressed confidence in Brazil's long-term potential.
On the evening of August 28, Meituan held its earnings call for the second quarter of 2026. Chief Executive Officer Wang Xing, while discussing the company's international business progress, said that Keeta began a pilot operation in the Saudi market in September 2024 and reached profitability in July 2026, marking 22 months from pilot launch to profitability.
Wang said that in the second half of 2026, Keeta will focus on operations in its existing markets, with an emphasis on improving operational efficiency. He also expressed confidence in the long-term potential of the Brazilian market.
