Rising memory chip prices pushed up terminal product costs, curbing consumer demand and dragging panel sales. In the first half of 2026, BOE's display device business revenue fell 3.2% year-on-year to RMB 81.755 billion, about 80% of total revenue. TCL Technology's semiconductor display segment posted revenue of approximately RMB 56.5 billion, down 1.83%, with TCL CSOT contributing RMB 50.273 billion.

Persistent increases in memory chip prices have pushed up the selling prices of end products, dampening consumers' willingness to buy and weighing on panel demand. In the first half of 2026, BOE (000725. SZ), a leading domestic panel maker, saw its display device business revenue decline by 3.20% year-on-year to RMB 81.755 billion, accounting for roughly 80% of the company's total revenue. BOE disclosed these figures in its interim report released on the evening of August 28.

TCL Technology (000100. SZ), another major domestic panel manufacturer, also released its interim report recently. During the same period, its semiconductor display business generated revenue of approximately RMB 56.5 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 1.83%. TCL CSOT serves as the primary vehicle for TCL Technology's panel operations. In the first half of 2026, TCL CSOT's revenue stood at RMB 50.273 billion, down from RMB 50.429 billion in the same period of 2025.
