Miniso Apologizes, Launches Emergency Probe Over Disposable Underwear Complaints

Published: Updated: By 24TopNews Editorial Desk

Miniso has apologized and launched an emergency investigation after a consumer complained that elastic bands on its disposable underwear separated from the garment during wear. The consumer's video, showing two pairs failing within a short period, has drawn over 310,000 likes and 1.04 million shares. This follows a February 2025 incident in which stained products prompted batch removal and third-party inspections.

Recently, a consumer posted a video saying that while wearing Miniso disposable underwear on a business trip, a colleague noticed white fabric strips on the floor, and inspection revealed the elastic band had separated from the main body of the underwear. The consumer then opened another pair of the same style, and after wearing them for only half an hour, the elastic band separated again. As of now, the video has received more than 310,000 likes and over 1.04 million shares, drawing widespread attention.

Miniso responded that it has taken note of the consumer feedback regarding the wearing experience of its disposable underwear and apologized to the consumer. The brand has launched an emergency internal investigation and will verify the product condition and the cause of the problem at the earliest opportunity, with progress updates to be shared with consumers in a timely manner.

This is not the first quality issue involving Miniso's disposable underwear. In February 2025, a consumer posted on social media that purchased disposable underwear showed stains before the package was even opened, and demonstrated the unboxing process in the post. Miniso responded at the time that it had removed the same batch of products from shelves, suspended order deliveries with the manufacturer, commissioned three independent third-party agencies to conduct re-inspections of the same batch, and carried out a comprehensive review of the product supply chain.
