Mori Building to Host First 'Machibura Hack' for Teenagers in 2026

Mori Building will hold its first experiential program for junior and senior high school students, titled "Machibura Hack," in late July 2026. Set against the backdrop of Azabudai Hills and Toranomon Hills, the program invites participants to experience the appeal of urban development and propose solutions. It forms part of the company's efforts to nurture future leaders in city building.
The event runs from July 25 to 27. Participants will conduct on-site visits across the two districts, then think through solutions to the challenges they identify and present their findings. Feedback from participating students indicates that the hands-on exploration deepened their interest in urban environments and strengthened their awareness of future involvement in city development.
Since 2007, Mori Building has offered workshops for elementary school students under the banner of its "city development program." The 2026 initiative marks the first time the company has extended such programming to older students. A company representative said that while earlier efforts focused on cultivating interest and emotional attachment to the city, the 2026 program aims to build on that curiosity and give participants the opportunity to think independently.
