New Hope August Hog Sales Rise 26.28% Year-on-Year to 1.21 Million Head
New Hope reported August hog sales of 1.21 million commercial pigs, up 26.28% year-on-year but down 1.59% month-on-month. Revenue from commercial pig sales reached RMB 1.505 billion, flat month-on-month and down 1.89% year-on-year. The average selling price was RMB 10.46 per kilogram, up 0.38% from July but down 22.75% from a year earlier.
New Hope announced on September 7 its hog sales data for August 2026. During the month, the company sold 1.21 million commercial pigs, a decrease of 1.59% from the previous month but an increase of 26.28% year-on-year. Revenue from commercial pig sales totaled RMB 1.505 billion, flat month-on-month and down 1.89% year-on-year. The average selling price for commercial pigs in August was RMB 10.46 per kilogram, up 0.38% month-on-month but down 22.75% year-on-year.
In August, the company also sold 74,200 piglets and 51,900 breeding pigs.
