Nintendo announced on August 6, 2026, a donation of 50 million yen to areas affected by the July 28, 2026 Kumamoto earthquake, along with free repair services for consoles and accessories. The repairs, valid until February 1, 2027, cover 21 municipalities in Kumamoto Prefecture—10 cities, 10 towns, and one village—regardless of warranty status. The move follows a similar donation and repair offer after the January 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake.

On August 6, 2026, Nintendo announced it will donate 50 million yen to areas of Kumamoto Prefecture hit by the recent earthquake, and also offer free repair services for consoles and accessories in the affected region. The repair service will be accepted from today until February 1, 2027.

The free repair service covers 10 cities, 10 towns, and one village in Kumamoto Prefecture, the areas affected by the earthquake on July 28, 2026. Nintendo said repairs are available regardless of whether the product is still under warranty.

Previously, after the Noto Peninsula earthquake in January 2024, Nintendo donated 50 million yen to the affected areas and offered similar free repair services.
