NIO Completes 120 Millionth Swap, Opens 4,000th Station and Fifth-Generation Units
NIO completed its 120 millionth battery swap on August 7, 2026, and simultaneously commissioned its 4,000th swap station along with the first batch of fifth-generation stations. The network now serves NIO, Onvo, and firefly brands, with cumulative swapped energy reaching 6.35 billion kWh. The company operates 9,166 charging and swapping stations, including 1,049 highway swap stations.
NIO completed its 120 millionth battery swap at 8:09 am on August 7, 2026. The company also put into operation its 4,000th swap station and the first batch of fifth-generation swap stations, extending support to the NIO, Onvo, and firefly brands.
Currently, the NIO network comprises 9,166 charging and swapping stations, of which 1,049 are highway swap stations. The cumulative energy delivered through swaps has reached 6.35 billion kWh.
