NIO Q2 2026 Results: Self-Developed Chip Models See Nearly 60% Smart Driving Usage, Used-Car Subscription

NIO held its Q2 2026 earnings call on September 1, revealing that nearly 60% of users of its Cedar model, equipped with the self-developed Shenji NX9031 chip, use intelligent assisted driving for over 50% of their daily driving mileage. The company offers five-year free smart driving subscriptions for first owners and subscription services for used-car buyers, with the latter's adoption rate approaching 20%.

On September 1, NIO held its earnings call for the second quarter of 2026. During the call, CEO William Li stated that among users of the Cedar model, which is equipped with the self-developed Shenji NX9031 chip, nearly 60% rely on intelligent assisted driving for more than 50% of their daily driving mileage. NIO provides first owners with a five-year complimentary smart driving subscription, while used-car customers can opt for a paid subscription service. Currently, the subscription rate among used-car users is close to 20%.
