Nvidia announced a $1 billion investment in South Korean internet and cloud services company Naver to fund the expansion of an artificial intelligence data center. Canadian asset manager Brookfield is acting as a capital partner for the project, providing up to $9 billion in financing. Upon completion of the subscription, Nvidia becomes one of Naver's largest shareholders with a 4.5% stake.

Nvidia subscribed to 7.2 million newly issued shares of Naver at 204,500 Korean won (approximately $139.45) per share. According to regulatory filings by Naver, Nvidia will participate in the project as the GPU supplier for the AI data center. The capacity of Naver's Sejong data center will expand from 55 MW to 200 MW by 2028, with a long-term target of gigawatt scale. The two companies announced plans in June 2025 to build global AI infrastructure to meet demand for sovereign AI in the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, and the Middle East.
