NVIDIA Japan STEM Tour Showcases DGX H100 Server

NVIDIA Japan hosted a STEM office tour for female middle and high school students in Tokyo on August 4, 2026, as part of the Girls Meet STEM in TOKYO program. Seventeen students participated after a lottery from over 20 applicants. The event included demonstrations of AI servers, including the NVIDIA DGX H100 with 32 GPUs, and a talk by PR head Kaori Nakamura. The program, co-hosted by the Yamada Shintaro D&I Foundation and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, saw participation from over 80 companies in 2026.

On August 4, 2026, NVIDIA Japan held an office tour for female middle and high school students in Tokyo. The event was part of the Girls Meet STEM in TOKYO program, co-hosted by the Yamada Shintaro D&I Foundation and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, aiming to provide female students with opportunities to visit STEM companies and interact with professionals. In 2025, 72 companies participated in the program; in 2026, more than 80 companies joined. NVIDIA planned to recruit 20 participants, but due to oversubscription, a lottery was held, and 17 students ultimately attended.

The event opened with a speech by Kaori Nakamura, head of public relations at NVIDIA Japan's corporate marketing division. She noted that she had been with the company for 20 years and encouraged participants to broaden their horizons through such activities. The program included a demonstration tour, introductions by engineering staff, a Q&A session, and a questionnaire. During the tour, participants were divided into four groups and visited exhibition areas covering gaming, local AI, and AI servers. In the gaming area, attendees tried the game PRAGMATA, which uses NVIDIA AI technology, and staff explained the role of GPUs in real-time graphics rendering and AI computation.

In the AI server area, staff showcased an NVIDIA DGX H100 server equipped with 32 GPUs and removed one NVIDIA H100 GPU board for participants to examine. They explained that the GPU can reach temperatures up to 100 degrees Celsius during computation and is cooled by a copper heat sink and fan. During the visit, a participant asked a specific question about the GPU's construction, and staff answered it in detail. At the end, participants filled out a questionnaire, and the event concluded the same day.
