PICC Plans Private A-Share Placement to Raise Up to RMB 15 Billion from Finance Ministry
PICC announced a private placement of A-shares to be fully subscribed by China's Ministry of Finance in cash, aiming to raise up to RMB 15 billion. Proceeds, net of issuance costs, will be used to replenish the company's capital base, enhancing operational stability and risk resilience.
On September 6, PICC unveiled a plan to issue A-shares to specific investors. The Ministry of Finance will subscribe to the entire offering in cash, with total proceeds capped at RMB 15 billion. After deducting related issuance expenses, all funds will be used to bolster the company's capital. The subscriber has entered into a conditional share subscription agreement with the company. This capital injection is intended to strengthen the capital foundation, improving prudent operations and the capacity to withstand risks.
