PICC Property and Casualty Company recently underwrote China's first invasive brain-computer interface surgery accident insurance policy for the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, filling a domestic gap in risk protection in this field. The insurance covers accidental risks during invasive brain-computer interface surgery, aiming to provide supporting insurance for the application of related medical technology.

This underwriting initiative has formed a new collaborative model of "technological innovation + medical application + insurance protection," offering a risk-management reference case for the transition of brain-computer interface technology from research and development to clinical application.
