Putailai 2026 Interim Results Briefing Held on August 24; Chairman Cites Tight Base Film Supply

Putailai held its 2026 interim results briefing on August 24. The company reported first-half revenue of RMB 10.115 billion, up 42.7% year on year, and net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 1.452 billion, up 37.58%. The company attributed the growth to the rapid expansion of the global power and energy storage battery market, leveraging its supply chain layout and product mix to achieve rapid increases in sales volume and revenue.

Coating processing shipments reached approximately 7.946 billion square meters, up 66.47% year on year, representing 36.45% of global wet-process separator shipments. Chairman Liang Feng noted at the briefing that the base film supply environment is currently tight, capacity construction cycles are long, and short-term supply elasticity in the industry remains limited.

Board Secretary Zhang Xiaoquan said that the increase in financial expenses was mainly due to daily working capital requirements for production and operations, as well as capital expenditure for capacity construction across business segments, which led to higher bank financing.
