Rob Nelson, development head and co-studio head at Rockstar North, confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 will launch as scheduled in November 2026. The confirmation follows the release of an extended gameplay trailer on Netflix, which eased earlier concerns about game quality. Nelson also addressed worries about further delays, reaffirming the release date.

Rob Nelson, development head and co-studio head at Rockstar North, the studio behind Grand Theft Auto 6, has confirmed that the game will launch as scheduled in November. Prior to the release of an extended gameplay trailer on Netflix, limited public footage had raised concerns among players about the game's quality. After the extended trailer debuted, those quality concerns were largely resolved. Nelson said he hopes the trailer will also put to rest any lingering doubts about whether the game might face another delay.

In a recent interview, one questioner noted that after watching the extended gameplay trailer premiered on Netflix, they no longer worried about the game's quality, but remained uncertain whether it would actually launch in November. GTA 6 has already undergone two schedule adjustments: the first pushed the release from 2025 to 2026, and the second delayed it by six months from May 26 to November 19. Take-Two Chief Executive Strauss Zelnick has repeatedly reaffirmed the November release window. Nelson echoed that stance, confirming that GTA 6 will arrive on time in November. "We hoped that after watching the extended trailer, people would no longer worry about quality," he said. "We are very satisfied with the final product, and the game will definitely launch as scheduled."
