Samsonite to Acquire 85% of BÉIS for US$178.5 Million

Samsonite International (01910) has agreed to acquire an 85% stake in lifestyle and travel brand BÉIS for US$178.5 million (approximately HK$1.392 billion) in cash. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026. Upon completion, Samsonite and Home Beis will hold 85% and 15% of BÉIS respectively, making BÉIS a subsidiary. BÉIS will continue to operate independently under CEO Adeela Hussain Johnson and the existing management team, with founder Shay Mitchell remaining as creative and design director.

Upon completion, Samsonite and Home Beis will hold 85% and 15% interests in BÉIS respectively, and BÉIS will become a subsidiary of Samsonite.

BÉIS was founded in 2018 by actress and entrepreneur Shay Mitchell and nurtured by Beach House Group. After the transaction, BÉIS will continue to operate as an independent brand, led by Chief Executive Officer Adeela Hussain Johnson and the existing management team. Shay Mitchell will continue to serve as founder and creative and design director.
