Seres Carbon Platform: AITO Pure-Electric Driving Cuts 2.33 Million Tonnes of CO2
Seres Group has deployed a digital carbon management platform spanning research, manufacturing, and supply chain operations. In 2025, AITO pure-electric vehicles logged 9.9 billion km, or 70% of total driving distance, cutting about 2.33 million tonnes of CO2. The super factory's photovoltaic system has generated over 280 million kWh, saving roughly 150,000 tonnes of CO2, with 100% of energy data monitored online. Seres has also worked with 91 core suppliers to collect carbon footprint data from more than 9,000 components.
Seres Group has used a digital carbon management platform to break down its dual-carbon targets across the full business chain, including research and development, manufacturing, and the supply chain. The platform relies on data collection and analysis to support the implementation of emission-reduction measures at each stage.
On the product front, in 2025 AITO pure-electric vehicles reached 9.9 billion km in driving distance, representing 70% of total mileage and equivalent to reducing approximately 2.33 million tonnes of CO2. The AITO M9 applies integrated die-casting technology, consolidating 222 parts into 10 integrated components, which lowers body weight and reduces whole-lifecycle carbon emissions.
In manufacturing, the Seres super factory has deployed large-scale photovoltaic power generation, with cumulative output exceeding 280 million kWh and cutting about 150,000 tonnes of CO2. A zero-carbon smart logistics hub uses driverless trucks and robots to enable low-carbon operations for internal plant logistics. AI and Internet of Things technologies allow 100% of plant-wide energy data to be monitored, analyzed, and managed online, providing data support for targeted emission reduction and energy-saving upgrades.
On the supply chain side, Seres has pioneered a "factory within a factory" model, embedding core suppliers' production lines directly inside its plants to improve upstream and downstream coordination and reduce logistics-related emissions. As of 2025, Seres has worked with 91 core suppliers to collect real carbon footprint data from more than 9,000 components, laying the groundwork for carbon tracing across the entire value chain.
