Shanghai Energy's 2026 H1 Net Profit Rises 38% to RMB283 Million, Plans Dividend
Shanghai Energy reported a 38.02% year-on-year increase in net profit attributable to shareholders to RMB283 million for the first half of 2026, with operating revenue up 27.21% to RMB4.45 billion. The company proposed a dividend of RMB0.85 per 10 shares, including tax. Performance was lifted by higher coal sales and prices.
Shanghai Energy disclosed its 2026 semi-annual report on August 21. During the reporting period, the company achieved operating revenue of RMB4.45 billion, up 27.21% year-on-year; net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was RMB283 million, up 38.02%; basic earnings per share were RMB0.28. The company also disclosed a profit distribution proposal, planning to pay a cash dividend of RMB0.85 (including tax) per 10 shares.
The announcement indicates that the performance growth in the first half of 2026 was mainly attributable to the company's continuous optimization of production organization and coordination of production, transportation and sales, with increased coal production and sales volume year-on-year, and a rise in commercial coal prices.
