Shanghai Mechanical to Accelerate Industrialization of Embodied AI and Humanoid Robot Components
Shanghai Mechanical said at its interim results briefing that it will accelerate the industrialization of core components for embodied AI and humanoid robots, including dexterous hands and joint modules. The company plans to expand applications in industrial scenarios such as polishing, loading and unloading, and plant inspections, following the rollout of automated inspection.
Shanghai Mechanical held its interim results briefing for the first half of 2026 on September 9. The company stated that, focusing on dexterous manipulation in industrial embodied AI, it will accelerate the promotion and application of industrial scenarios where automated inspection has been established. At the same time, it is exploring and working to unlock other industrial scenarios, including polishing, loading and unloading, and plant inspections.
The company said that, driven by industrial scenarios, it will further accelerate the industrialization of core components for scalable embodied AI and humanoid robots, such as dexterous hands and joint modules.
