Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank H1 2026 Net Profit RMB7.07 billion, Plans Dividend

Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank reported H1 2026 revenue of RMB13.688 billion, up 1.82% year on year, and net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB7.073 billion, up 0.87%. The bank proposed an interim dividend of RMB2.499 per 10 shares. Net interest income rose 3.59% to RMB9.971 billion, while non-interest income fell 2.65%. Total assets reached RMB1.6478 trillion, up 3.79% from end-2025. The non-performing loan ratio improved to 0.94%, with provision coverage at 306.91%.

Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank disclosed its interim report on August 27, 2026. In the first half of 2026, the bank recorded operating revenue of RMB13.688 billion, up 1.82% year on year; net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company reached RMB7.073 billion, up 0.87%; basic earnings per share stood at RMB0.73. The interim profit distribution plan proposes a cash dividend of RMB2.499 per 10 shares (tax inclusive).

Net interest income for the first half of 2026 amounted to RMB9.971 billion, up 3.59% year on year. Within this, interest income totaled RMB19.561 billion, down 6.82%; interest expense was RMB9.590 billion, down 15.63%. Non-interest net income reached RMB3.718 billion, down 2.65%, accounting for 27.16% of operating revenue, a decrease of 1.25 percentage points from the same period in 2025.

As of the end of June 2026, the bank's total assets stood at RMB1.6478 trillion, up 3.79% from end-2025; loans and advances to customers totaled RMB799.871 billion, up 3.48%. Total liabilities were RMB1.5104 trillion, up 3.78%; customer deposits reached RMB1.1848 trillion, up 3.93%.

In terms of asset quality, non-performing loans (NPL) amounted to RMB7.541 billion at end-June, an increase of RMB138 million from end-2025. The NPL ratio was 0.94%, down 0.02 percentage points from end-2025. The provision coverage ratio stood at 306.91%, down 21.96 percentage points; the loan provision ratio was 2.89%, down 0.26 percentage points.

By loan type, corporate loans and advances totaled RMB504.909 billion, up 7.16% from end-2025, with an NPL ratio of 0.85%, down 0.02 percentage points. Personal loans and advances reached RMB210.809 billion, down 0.20%, with an NPL ratio of 1.55%, down 0.01 percentage points.

Retail financial assets under management (AUM) reached RMB884.377 billion, an increase of RMB31.452 billion, or 3.69%, from end-2025. Mortgage loans totaled RMB110.412 billion, up 0.75%. In corporate banking, corporate loans reached RMB546.634 billion, up RMB32.384 billion, or 6.30%.

The net interest margin was 1.36%, down 3 basis points from the same period in 2025 and down 1 basis point from end-2025.
