Sinoma Science & Technology H1 Revenue Up 21.95% to RMB16.257 Billion; Lithium Battery Separator Sales Surge

Sinoma Science & Technology disclosed its 2026 semi-annual report on August 18, 2026. In the first half of the year, the company achieved operating revenue of RMB16.257 billion, up 21.95% year-on-year; net profit attributable to shareholders was RMB1.208 billion, up 20.93%; and net profit attributable to shareholders excluding non-recurring items was RMB1.095 billion, up 35.54%. Among its three main businesses, the lithium battery separator segment performed notably, while glass fiber and wind blade businesses maintained steady growth.
The lithium battery separator business became the primary growth driver. The company ranks third globally in wet-process separator market share, with production capacity across seven domestic bases and its overseas base in Hungary under construction. In the first half, external sales of lithium battery separators reached 2.77 billion square meters, up 113% year-on-year; sales revenue was RMB2.18 billion, up 135%; the revenue share rose to 12.18% from 6.30% in the same period of 2025; and net profit attributable to shareholders was RMB155 million, up 1,941%. Downstream energy storage battery demand grew, with global lithium battery production totaling 1,470.8 GWh in H1 2026, up 49% year-on-year, and energy storage battery shipments reaching 507.8 GWh, up 98%.
The glass fiber business continued its cyclical recovery. First-half sales were 760,000 tonnes, up 13% year-on-year, ranking second globally in market share; revenue was RMB5.306 billion, up 21.86%; net profit attributable to shareholders rose 49% year-on-year, and gross margin improved by 4.8 percentage points. Specialty fiber cloth sales reached 13.45 million meters, with revenue of RMB530 million, up 50% and 114% respectively, used in high-end applications such as AI servers and data center switches. Related project construction is progressing as scheduled.
The wind blade business sold 15.5 GW, up 2% year-on-year, ranking first globally in market share; revenue was RMB5.579 billion, up 7.29%. Wind turbine orders won exceeded 75 GW, down about 20% year-on-year, while international orders won were about 15 GW, up about 50% year-on-year.
