SM Entertainment and Tencent Music Form Beijing Joint Venture Aisiteng, Zhou Mi Named CEO
SM Entertainment and Tencent Music Entertainment Group established a Beijing-based joint venture, Aisiteng (STE), on August 27. Former SUPER JUNIOR-M member Zhou Mi will serve as CEO. The company plans to debut a new Chinese idol group within two to three years, handling talent scouting, debut, and local management, while also supporting SM's Chinese-language artists in China.
South Korea's SM Entertainment and Tencent Music Entertainment Group jointly established a Beijing-based joint venture, Aisiteng (STE), officially named Aisiteng (Beijing) Culture Communication Co. , Ltd. , on August 27. The company has appointed Zhou Mi, a former member of SUPER JUNIOR-M, as its chief executive officer.
Aisiteng will focus on developing new Chinese idol groups, with plans to debut a new group within the next two to three years. Its responsibilities will include artist scouting, group debut preparation, and local management in the Chinese market. Additionally, Aisiteng will support SM Entertainment's Chinese-language artists in their performance activities in China.
SM Entertainment said the establishment of the joint venture aims to further expand its influence in the Chinese-language entertainment market.
