Sony Unveils WH-1000XM4C Headphones with USB-C Fast Charging and AI Call Noise Reduction
Sony has released the WH-1000XM4C, a reissue of its popular WH-1000XM4 over-ear noise-canceling headphones, featuring USB-C fast charging, digital audio connectivity, and AI-enhanced call clarity. The model retains the foldable hinge design and compact hard case, with 30-hour battery life on a single charge. Preorders will begin soon in major global markets.
Sony has launched the WH-1000XM4C, a reissued version of its over-ear noise-canceling headphones. The product arrives shortly after the release of the WH-1000XM6 and is based on the design of the WH-1000XM4, retaining the four-way foldable hinge structure and the compact hard-shell carrying case, allowing the headphones to be folded for storage.
In terms of features, the WH-1000XM4C upgrades to a USB-C port, supporting high-power fast charging and USB-C digital audio passthrough, while preserving the 3.5mm analog audio input. The headphones support Bluetooth multipoint connectivity, enabling seamless switching of audio streams between laptops, tablets, and smartphones. The built-in microphone system employs AI noise-reduction algorithms and beamforming technology to enhance call clarity.
Regarding noise cancellation and battery life, the headphones use the QN1 HD noise-canceling processor and a dual noise sensor architecture. With active noise cancellation enabled, battery life is approximately 30 hours, extending further when noise cancellation is turned off.
Sony has announced that the WH-1000XM4C will begin preorders in major global markets in the near future.
