Sun Hung Kai's Qian Yu Logs 89 Sales in Early August, Cumulative Proceeds Exceed HK$1.88 Billion

Sun Hung Kai Properties' Qian Yu development in Yuen Long recorded 89 transactions in the first half of August, lifting cumulative sales to 348 units since launch with proceeds exceeding HK$1.88 billion. The week's top sale was a three-bedroom unit at HK$8.925 million, while a platform special unit fetched HK$17,624 per square foot. Over the weekend, 23 units sold for HK$4.47 million to HK$6.81 million each, including a HK$11.57 million bulk purchase of two two-bedroom flats.

Sun Hung Kai Properties' Qian Yu project at Lower Kau Hui Tsuen, Kam Tin, Yuen Long, recorded 89 transactions in the first half of August (August 1-16) as of 7pm on August 16. The project saw high-priced transactions this week, with Unit L on the 2nd floor of Tower 2 sold by tender as a platform special unit at a transaction price of HK$17,624 per square foot. Unit K on the 17th floor of Tower 2, a three-bedroom with ensuite layout, was sold for HK$8.925 million, the highest-priced unit this week.

Over the past weekend, the project recorded another 23 transactions covering one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts, with usable floor areas ranging from 290 to 498 square feet. Discounted transaction prices ranged from HK$4.47 million to HK$6.81 million, and discounted prices per square foot from HK$13,671 to HK$15,580. Among these was a bulk purchase in which a group of buyers spent over HK$11.57 million to acquire two two-bedroom units with usable floor areas of 379 and 383 square feet respectively.

Since launch, cumulative sales at the project have risen to 348 units, with total proceeds exceeding HK$1.88 billion.
