Take-Two Interactive's Rockstar Games studio has faced a series of leaks ahead of the fall release of Grand Theft Auto VI. Footage began circulating online in mid-August, revealing details about the game's story, character scenes, and mechanics. The game is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, and the leaks occurred several months before release.

On August 27, Rockstar Games streamed an extended preview of Grand Theft Auto VI on Netflix. On August 28, Take-Two filed the new subpoena. On August 31, the court approved the subpoena request. Previously, Take-Two had issued four subpoenas to Discord, Microsoft, Google, and X, but withdrew its request to YouTube.
The leaker account "Cyberleek" went inactive after posting suspected content from the opening of Grand Theft Auto VI.
