Tianma Launches Second-Gen TianGong Display with N1 Material, Cutting Harmful Blue Light to 3.7%
On August 26, Tianma Microelectronics unveiled its second-generation TianGong display, featuring the new N1 native-spectrum light-emitting material. The company says the display cuts harmful blue light to 3.7%, boosts beneficial red light to 5.5%, and extends device lifespan by 30%, while supporting 1nit low-light eye care, 3840Hz ultra-high-frequency PWM dimming, and 3600nits peak brightness.
On August 26, Tianma Microelectronics released its second-generation TianGong display. Jiang Huawei, executive vice president of Tianma, said the new panel continues to focus on user eye health and picture-quality upgrades. By debuting the company's N1 native-spectrum light-emitting material, the display achieves comprehensive improvements in low blue light, beneficial red light, ultra-wide color gamut, and long lifespan, delivering all-scenario eye protection and true, transparent visuals.
The application of the N1 material is key to this upgrade, as it restructures the three-primary-color emission system at the source, enabling precise dual-direction control that reduces harmful light and enhances beneficial light. This leads to overall gains in luminous efficiency, color performance, and device longevity. According to data provided by Yang Kang, general manager of Tianma's OLED R&D center, the spectral reconstruction of TianGong 2.0 lowers harmful blue light to 3.7% and raises beneficial red light to 5.5%, offering a comfortable and soft viewing experience. Combined with 1nit dark-scene eye protection, 3840Hz ultra-high-frequency PWM dimming, and 3600nits peak brightness, the display covers scenarios such as commuting, nighttime rest, and strong outdoor light.
