Wantai Bio's Nine-Valent HPV Vaccine Gets Thai Approval, First Overseas License
Wantai Bio announced on August 11 that its wholly-owned subsidiary Xiamen Wantai Canghai Biotechnology Co. , Ltd. received approval from the Thai Food and Drug Administration for its self-developed nine-valent HPV vaccine, marking the first overseas market authorization. The vaccine, for women aged 9 to 45, covers seven high-risk and two low-risk HPV types. Approved in China in 2025, it is the first Chinese and second global nine-valent HPV vaccine, now qualified for export to Thailand.

The vaccine is indicated for women aged 9 to 45 and covers seven high-risk HPV types (16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, 58) and two low-risk types (6, 11), preventing diseases caused by these HPV types.
The vaccine was approved by China's National Medical Products Administration in 2025, making it the first nine-valent HPV vaccine developed in China and the second such vaccine globally. With this approval, the product is now qualified for export to the Thai market.
