Underlying net profit for the period was HK$1.697 billion, down 16.61% year on year, mainly due to lower dividend income, partially offset by higher interest income. Revenue was HK$5.344 billion, down 5.73% year on year, and operating profit was HK$2.354 billion, down 11.4%.

Following the results announcement, Wharf Holdings' share price extended losses in the afternoon, falling as much as 3.2% intraday to a low of HK$20.76. As of 1:35 p. m. , the shares were trading at HK$20.8, down 3%, with turnover of HK$32.4 million.
