Xiamen regulator approves Hu Rongwei as Xiamen International Trust chairman
The Xiamen office of the National Financial Regulatory Administration approved Hu Rongwei as chairman of Xiamen International Trust. Hu, previously general manager, became party secretary in April 2026. Li Yunxiang, chairman of Xiamen Jinyuan Investment Group, steps down as concurrent chairman but remains a director. On September 11, 2026, the Xiamen office of the National Financial Regulatory Administration published an approval confirming Hu Rongwei's qualification as chairman of Xiamen International Trust Co. , Ltd. Hu was previously deputy party secretary and general manager of Xiamen International Trust, and has since been promoted to member of the party committee and deputy general manager of Xiamen Jinyuan Investment Group Co. , where he oversees trust and other business segments. He has served as party secretary of Xiamen International Trust since April 2026. Li Yunxiang, party secretary and chairman of Xiamen Jinyuan Investment Group, no longer concurrently serves as party secretary and chairman of Xiamen International Trust but remains a director of the trust company. Li received regulatory approval for his qualification as chairman of Xiamen International Trust in January 2023, and Hu became general manager of the company in November 2019.
Xiamen International Trust Co. traces its origins to the Xiamen Special Economic Zone Finance Company, established by the Xiamen municipal government in January 1985. In 1986, with approval from the People's Bank of China, it was renamed Xiamen International Trust and Investment Company, operating as a non-bank financial institution with legal-person status. In August 2007, following approval from the former China Banking Regulatory Commission, it obtained a new financial license and was renamed Xiamen International Trust Co. The company is the earliest-established and longest continuously operating licensed legal-person financial institution in Fujian province, with 41 years of continuous operation.
