Xiaomi 18 Series Leak: Standard Gets Asymmetric Quad Camera, Pro Adds 7000mAh Battery and Dual 200MP
Xiaomi's upcoming 18 series will see the standard model adopt an asymmetric four-lens camera, while the Pro model features a 7,000mAh battery and dual 200MP cameras (main and telephoto macro). The Pro Max will use a higher-spec Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6 Pro. The series is expected to launch in September 2026, amid rising component costs.
The Xiaomi 18 series will feature an asymmetric four-lens rear camera module on the standard model, which replaces the previous small-size flat-screen design; the front adopts an ultra-narrow uniform bezel screen. The Pro model continues the Xiaomi 17 Pro's design language, retains the secondary rear display, and is planned to adopt a horizontally arranged large matrix layout, with adjustments to the color scheme.
Under the hood, Qualcomm plans to launch two flagship processors built on TSMC's 2nm process in 2026. The Xiaomi 18 and Xiaomi 18 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6, while the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6 Pro, which offers improved graphics performance, cache, and clock speeds. For displays, the entire Xiaomi 18 series will feature ultra-narrow uniform bezels using a new process. The standard model will use a super pixel arrangement, while the Pro series is testing a new-generation 2K-level ultra-clear display and privacy protection technology.
In terms of imaging, the Xiaomi 18 Pro is testing an 'ultra-large sensor dual 200MP' setup, comprising a 200MP main camera and a 200MP telephoto macro lens, plus an ultra-wide camera. For comparison, the previous generation used a 1/2-inch Samsung GN8 sensor for its periscope telephoto. As for battery, the Xiaomi 18 Pro will pack a 7,000mAh-class battery, supporting 100W wired fast charging and wireless charging. In 2026, upstream costs for memory and panels in the consumer electronics market continue to rise; several leading manufacturers have already increased product prices twice. Some manufacturers are considering using the previous generation's flagship processor in some flagship products to control prices.
