Xiaomi Unveils 18 Fold, Its First Flagship Combining Chip, AI, and OS
Xiaomi launched its new foldable flagship, the 18 Fold, on September 7, after a development cycle of over 20 months. The device is the company's most premium handset to date and marks the first time the foldable form factor joins its digital series. It integrates three in-house technologies—the Xuanjie O3 AI processor, Xiaomi OS 4, and the MiMo on-device large model—in a single product for the first time.
Xiaomi unveiled its new "mid-fold" flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi 18 Fold, on the evening of September 7, following a research and development cycle of more than 20 months. The model is Xiaomi's most high-end flagship to date and represents the first time the company has incorporated the mid-fold form factor into its digital series product line.
The Xiaomi 18 Fold is powered by the Xuanjie O3 AI flagship processor, developed and designed by Xiaomi, along with the Xiaomi OS 4 operating system and the Xiaomi MiMo on-device large model. This marks the first time that Xiaomi's three proprietary technologies—chip, AI, and OS—have been brought together in a single terminal product.
