XJ Electric to Expand Grid-Forming Converters and Solid-State Transformers

XJ Electric disclosed at an analyst meeting that its power electronics business will focus on expanding grid-forming energy storage converters and solid-state transformer products. The grid-forming energy storage converter passed appraisal by the China Electrotechnical Society in 2024 and has since been applied in multiple domestic projects, covering scenarios including large-scale energy storage, off-grid hydrogen production, microgrids, and new energy grid connection support.

For solid-state transformers, development is progressing toward mainstream market voltage levels and capacities. The company has completed foundational research including overall scheme design, main circuit topology selection and design, and control system design, and is currently advancing assembly and commissioning of the complete unit.
