XPeng Robot Line Targets Mass Production by End of 2026

On September 8, XPeng officially launched its robot production line, where the world's first high-level general-purpose humanoid robot completed automated final assembly and walked off the line autonomously. Designed and developed by XPeng Group, this is the world's first automated production line for high-level humanoid robots, integrating the automotive industry's quality system with precision manufacturing of humanoid robots, and establishing a mass-production quality system based on automotive-grade consistency standards. The production line is being developed with mass production as the goal, and the automation rate of core processes exceeds 80%.

The XPeng robot features 76 degrees of freedom across its body, with 21 degrees of freedom in each hand, and adopts a fully wrapped flexible lattice design. Equipped with three Turing AI chips, the robot delivers an effective computing power of 2250 TOPS, with a physical AI large model deployed on the edge, enabling it to autonomously complete complex tasks without remote operation.

XPeng plans to enter mass production by the end of 2026, starting commercial applications in XPeng stores and parks, and will officially launch deliveries in China and overseas markets in 2027.

On August 24, XPeng's robot business completed its first round of equity financing, raising over $900 million, with a post-investment valuation exceeding $6.3 billion, setting a new record for single-round private equity financing in China's embodied intelligence industry.
