Yahua Group's Zimbabwe KMC Advances Lithium Sulphate Project, Targeting 2027 Start
Yahua Group (002497) recently disclosed during an institutional research session that KMC in Zimbabwe is accelerating construction of a lithium sulphate deep-processing project.
The project covers a smelter and a lithium sulphate plant, with a designed annual processing capacity of 350,000 tonnes of lithium concentrate, and is scheduled to begin operations in 2027.
The arrangement calls for processing lithium concentrate into lithium sulphate before shipping it back to China, in order to reduce freight volume and cross-border logistics costs.
