The guard, a free agent after playing for the Chicago Bulls last season, averaged 3.4 points and 2.6 assists in 18 games. He appeared in five Summer League games for the Indiana Pacers in July, posting 12 assists against the Pelicans despite struggling from three-point range.
The Clippers announced on the 9th that they have signed Yuki Kawamura, 25, to an Exhibit 10 contract, bringing the free agent from the Chicago Bulls into the team's training camp. Kawamura will aim to establish himself for a third NBA season.
In July, Kawamura played five games in the NBA Summer League as a member of the Indiana Pacers. His three-point shooting was off form, but he recorded 12 assists in the game against the New Orleans Pelicans on the 18th, showcasing his playmaking ability.
In his first NBA season, Kawamura signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Memphis Grizzlies before earning a two-way contract that allowed him to play up to 50 regular-season games.
