Yunnan Copper Names Sun Chengyu Chairman, Han Jingen CEO After H1 Revenue Hits RMB111.55 Billion

Yunnan Copper announced senior management changes on September 1, with Sun Chengyu elected chairman and Han Jingen appointed general manager. The moves follow the resignation of Kong Desong as chairman. The company reported first-half revenue of approximately RMB111.55 billion, up 32.76% year-on-year, with net profit attributable to shareholders of about RMB1.90 billion, up 29.05%.

Yunnan Copper issued three announcements after the market close on September 1, disclosing senior management changes. Due to work adjustments, Kong Desong resigned as chairman, director, and member and chairman of the board's Strategy and Sustainable Development (ESG) Committee, as well as a member of the Nomination Committee. He will no longer hold any position in the company. According to the announcements, Kong's original term was set to expire at the end of the tenth board's term. As of the disclosure date, he held no shares in the company and had no outstanding public commitments.

The board recently received a written resignation from Sun Chengyu, vice chairman and general manager, who applied to step down as vice chairman due to a work change. On September 1, the board approved his resignation as general manager and elected him as chairman of the tenth board, with a term running from the approval date to the end of the current board. In accordance with the company's articles of association, Sun also became the legal representative from the date of his election. On the same day, the board appointed Han Jingen as general manager, with a term ending at the conclusion of the tenth board. According to his resume, Han was born in June 1976, holds a Master of Business Administration, and is an engineer and political affairs officer. He previously served as deputy director of the human resources department and board secretary of Yunnan Copper (Group) Co. , Ltd. , and as deputy general manager of the comprehensive management department (board office) of China Copper Co. He currently serves as a director, general manager, and deputy party secretary of Yunnan Copper, holding 10,000 shares in the listed company. He has no affiliation with the company's actual controller or shareholders holding more than 5% of shares.

In terms of performance, Yunnan Copper's 2026 semi-annual report showed revenue of approximately RMB111.55 billion during the reporting period, up 32.76% from the same period in 2025. Net profit attributable to shareholders was approximately RMB1.90 billion, up 29.05% year-on-year. Excluding non-recurring items, net profit was approximately RMB1.82 billion, up 52.94%. On September 1, the company's share price closed at RMB17.68, with a market value of approximately RMB42.88 billion, and a cumulative increase of 9.34% over the past five trading days.
