On August 11, Zhipu announced a major upgrade to its AI coding product ZCode, with four new features officially launched: Goal, Subagents, Remote Control, and Idle-time Tasks. The core change in this upgrade is that ZCode can now autonomously complete complex tasks. After users set a clear and verifiable goal, the system automatically breaks down the task, modifies code, runs commands, and executes tests, then determines whether the goal has been achieved based on files, command output, and test results. If the goal is not met, the system continues iterating until the task is completed. The progress, time spent, and execution results of each round can be viewed in the Goal panel.

On the same day, Zhipu announced that ZCode's user count has surpassed one million. As a special reward for this user milestone, all GLM Coding Plan users had their quotas uniformly reset at 13:00 that day, restoring everyone's quota to full capacity.
