ZhongAn Online Interim Profit Up 132% to RMB1.55 Billion
ZhongAn Online reported a 132% year-on-year increase in interim net profit attributable to shareholders, reaching RMB1.55 billion. Total premiums fell 0.6% to RMB16.56 billion, while insurance service revenue rose 12.95% to RMB16.99 billion. Its virtual bank ZA Bank posted a net profit of HKD71 million for the first half, about 1.5 times the same period in 2025, with net revenue up 26.6%.
ZhongAn Online announced its interim results for the six months ended June 30, with profit attributable to shareholders reaching RMB1.55 billion, up 132% year on year. Basic earnings per share stood at RMB0.92, and no interim dividend was declared. Total premiums for the period amounted to RMB16.56 billion, down 0.6% year on year, while insurance service revenue rose 12.95% to RMB16.99 billion.
Its virtual bank ZA Bank achieved a net profit of HKD71 million in the first half, approximately 1.5 times the level of the same period in 2025. Net revenue reached HKD578 million, up 26.6% year on year, of which net interest income was HKD375 million, up 25.9%, and net fee and commission income was HKD123 million, up 75.7%. Net interest margin stood at 2.99%, an increase of 0.61 percentage points from the same period in 2025. As of June 30, ZA Bank's total assets had grown 7.9% from the end of 2025 to approximately HKD26.82 billion.
