32 Securities Firms Complete AI Algorithm Filings; Agents Enter Core Business

Since 2026, AI agents have been accelerating their penetration into core business scenarios at securities firms. As of end-July 2026, 32 securities firms had completed algorithm and model filings, with more than 50 filing projects in total, and over 10 leading firms completing multiple model filings.

AI agents have now been deployed in investment research, investment advisory, operations, and review processes, with their application scope continuing to expand. Large-model reasoning and tool-calling capabilities have improved markedly, enabling agents to handle multi-step and relatively complex task chains. Securities firms are shifting from piloting single-point applications to company-level strategic deployment, with tangible increases in investment in computing power, data, and talent.
